*What A Pair Charity Fundraiser to be held Friday March 16th 6-8pm, [Ticket Prices: $65 per person/ $120 for a pair] Event highlights include an elegant draped model being sketched by local artists whose work will be auctioned as well as the auction of the decorated bras. Artists’ works will also be for sale with 50% of proceeds going to What A Pair.
Proceeds benefit Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro Mammography Unit and other causes which improve the status of women and girls. The Soroptimist Mammography Fund at Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro provides free screening mammograms and follow-up tests to women, 40 years or older, who are without insurance and who cannot qualify for Medi-Cal.

Event Type: ethnic food with music & art festival
Join us to eat ćevapčići, listen to ethnic music and surf rock sounds, dance the kolo to tambouritza bands, drink coffee and check out fantastic art by local artists. This year’s special guest is John Filcich of Festival Records, who “devoted his life to the preservation and promotion of musical traditions and dances of many ethnic groups in California.”

The 1st Ćevapčići Festival held at Angels Gate Cultural Center, drew an audience of over 1200 people. The aim of the Ćevapčići Festival is to promote the community of San Pedro as a popular destination, and to publicize the uniquely Balkan character of this Los Angeles community through its food.
